What was your motivation for applying for FMLM Fellowship?

I have always been drawn to leadership roles and have been an effective leader at a team level in many of the roles I have undertaken. I am now developing my leadership and management skills further, by undertaking formal leadership training, and by learning by leading. I felt that by applying for a fellowship I could focus on the skills I had and also identify areas where further development would be valuable.

What do you feel is the value of FMLM Fellowship?

The value of gaining fellowship of FMLM is the recognition of my leadership skills as a medical professional. I don't work in a clinical setting but remain a doctor first. I hope that the fellowship is a clear sign that the skills I have developed both in medical and non-medical roles are valuable and contribute to the ongoing improvement to healthcare.
