Welcome to the Enlightened Side, a new campaign highlighting the importance of good medical leadership.
Evidence and successive inquiries have demonstrated that good medical leadership can save lives.
FMLM has launched the Enlightened Side campaign to draw attention to this and challenge the perception that leadership and management constitutes the 'dark side' of medicine. Without having the best leaders, our healthcare services will suffer.
That's why FMLM, the professional home of medical leadership, has developed the Leadership and management standards for medical professionals. They show what best practice in medical leadership looks like and provide members with the means to demonstrate their best practice in medical leadership through a process of certification leading to the award of fellowship.
We are encouraging doctors, dentists and students to raise the status of medical leadership and in the process help deliver high quality patient care.

Become a Fellow
Patients and healthcare systems require the very best leaders. Through a rigorous process of certification against the Leadership and management standards for medical professionals, FMLM are allowing those leaders to demonstrate their capabilities and be recognised through the award of fellowship. Individuals can apply to become an FMLM Fellow at one of three levels:
- Senior Fellowship
- Fellowship
- Associate Fellowship
Fellowship has been established to recognise leaders who motivate their teams and those around them to strive for the best standards of clinical care.
Currently open to UK-based members, fellowship provides the opportunity to distinguish your enlightened leadership.

Leaders in Healthcare Conference - Join us at the biggest UK healthcare leadership conference to learn, participate and get enlightened.
