Leadership and being a role model: decision making and taking responsibility

In a clinical setting it can be more obvious who is responsible and who is making the decisions. However, in a non-clinical setting it is often less clear and more open to interpretation. How do you transfer your clinical leadership skills to these situations and get the best from yourself and those around you? Alexis Hutson (Coaching Doctors) will give you a taste of leadership theory to enable you to reflect on how you present your leadership qualities, engage others in the decision-making process and take responsibility when needed.

 This essential skills course will:

  • Help you reflect on your leadership qualities
  • Learn from five case studies presented by participants
  • Access leadership theory to strengthen your awareness
  • Reflect on and plan for how you can put your learning into practice.

Part of the 'Essential skills' courses - a new series of personal and career development courses hosted by FMLM. These half-day taster sessions are designed to give an insight into a particular personal development area and time to reflect on your practice.
