Miss Hollie Hawrot

Chief Dental Officer's Clinical Fellow 2022/23

Hollie Hawrot graduated from Sheffield Dental School in 2016 and then went on to complete foundation dental training in Holmfirth. Following this, she completed three years of Dental Core Training in a variety of specialties; Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery, Paediatric Dentistry, Special Care Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry. As well as dental core training, Hollie has also worked in general practice as a locum dentist, the community dental services as a dental officer and has volunteered for Floating Doctors in Panama as a lead dental provider. Hollie has also completed a PGCert in Medical Education and a PGCert in Healthcare Research, and has completed the MFDS at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

Reason for applying for the scheme

Throughout her career Hollie has been fortunate enough to have worked in a variety of health care settings and so recognises the positive impact that excellence in leadership can have not only on the quality of patient care, but also on the happiness and well-being of the staff that keep the NHS going. Hollie is keen to develop her leadership and management skills, so that she can help create a happy and supportive work environment for colleagues, whilst also improving the quality of patient care on a local and national level.
