South Central England regional lead, Trainee Steering Group
Ioanna is an Oral & Maxillofacial Trainee based in Thames Valley Deanery. She has a keen interest in medical leadership and its impact in work culture, staff wellbeing and retention. She joined the Trainee Steering Group family in the hope that she will be able to play a role in helping clinicians to develop their leadership skills.
She holds a PgCert in medical education and completed a clinical education fellowship with HEE. She is keen to harness these skills in her leadership role with FMLM in order to help trainees in their process of becoming effective leaders. Previously she has been the secretary for the junior trainee group (JTG) of BAOMS and created the equivalent group for Greek trainees.
