Lead the Change: a reset for healthcare

The theme is set for this year’s Leaders in Healthcare (LiH) conference on 8-11 November, which will explore the healthcare leadership needed for the residual and post-pandemic world.

The programme for the four-day event – two days in-person at the Barbican Centre in London on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 November, followed by a two-day online conference on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 November – will be available shortly.

We promise some big names and important sessions to support leadership through and out of the pandemic, including the return of the UK four nation Chief Medical Officers panel.

We will be looking at how to build fairer systems and tackle structural inequalities in healthcare access and outcomes; probing how to tackle racism in healthcare; addressing how to support the wellbeing and recovery of our health and care workforce through and post-Covid-19; exploring what 'good' systems leadership looks like in order to build better integrated care; and examining how to tackle the backlog of non-urgent care that has built up over the course of the pandemic.

We will release more information on keynote speakers and sessions, soon.

A key date coming up is the deadline for ePoster submissions on 2 August – there are still two weeks to submit ePoster abstracts focusing on one of six leadership topics. The ePoster exhibition is a touchstone of leadership development and project management across healthcare services at LiH each year, and a great opportunity to display hard-won achievements and share essential outcomes and learning with colleagues and senior leaders on a world stage.

These are leadership and development opportunities not to be missed. Find out more from the Leaders in Healthcare website.
