The Innovator's Dilemma

By Clayton Christensen
Harvard Business Review Press
November 2013
978-1422196021
RRP £20.00. Kindle edition available at £7.19.

With a rather lengthy subtitle, When New Technologies Cause Great Firms to Fail (Management of Innovation and Change) that seems to have evolved through various previous editions, this book is regarded as classic text from a renowned author. Clay Christensen looks at why companies tend to miss new innovations and, in doing so, how they risk being left behind if they fail to adapt from their traditional business practices. A counterpart in 'disruptive innovation' by the same author, The Innovator's Prescription was reviewed by Jag Dhaliwal for the Bookclub in June 2013.
