Stories of us - part two

In the second part to this two part webinar, Dr Claire Marie Thomas focussed on how to refine your stories through the use of your own experiences. Participants were be able to share their own examples and experiment with different ways to express them - the group was be able to learn from each other in how to effectively draw out key narratives.

One of the greatest challenges of leadership is the exposure of our vulnerabilities in order to connect with our followers, whilst maintaining our professionalism and integrity. We all have a story to tell that has led us to where we are today, a story that explains how we have evolved our drive and values. Public narrative is the art of sharing that personal story, communicating it in a recognisable, relatable format and extrapolating it to encompass the story of our collective values and aspirations as a society.

Done well, a good story can communicate on a deep and resonant level and motivate people to overcome inertia and inspire action. As history has shown us time and time again, a great story can change the world. This two part webinar series will explore the art of public narrative and encourage you to begin to uncover and evolve your own personal leadership story into a story of us, a story of now!
