Tanvir is a ST8 in Upper GI Surgery at Nottingham University Hospitals and was appointed to the FMLM Trainee Steering Group in 2016. He has been involved with a number of TSG-led national initiatives including thematic analysis research on leadership activity during the covid-19 pandemic, enabling factors and barriers to QI activity, the FMLM leadership passport, national surveys as well as chairing sessions at the annual Leaders in Health Conference of the FMLM. He conceptualised the 'The Leadership Game' for the Leaders in Health Conference in 2021 to gamify and simulate leadership skills development.
Tanvir has co-organised the Cambridge QI conference with Cambridge Health Leaders since 2018 which now has an international following.
