Coaching & Mentoring for Doctors - A practical guide to understanding the benefits of coaching and mentoring within medicine

Registration is closed for this event

Doctors at all stages in their career are increasingly being asked to deploy mentoring (formally or informally) skills or access coaching to develop their careers. You may have received training for this, accessed it, or just picked it up along the way. However experienced you are at mentoring it is critical to stay fresh and keep developing your skills. Alexis Hutson (Coaching Doctors) will help the group to understand how coaching or mentoring can benefit their career.

This essential skills course will:

  • Help you better understand the role of coaching and mentoring in the medical world.
  • Allow you to practice/refresh skills with like-minded colleagues.
  • Pick up top tips for providing effective mentoring and coaching.
  • Access supervision and group support for your support activities
  • Gain feedback and learning materials to boost your practice.

Part of the 'Essential skills' courses - a new series of personal and career development courses hosted by FMLM. These full day taster sessions are designed to give an insight into a particular personal development area and time to reflect on your practice.
