For over a decade, FMLM’s Clinical Fellow Schemes have developed the next generation of healthcare leaders by providing unique opportunities to work alongside senior leaders at the highest levels of the health and care system.
Current schemes include the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow Scheme, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Clinical Fellow Scheme, Chief Dental Officer for England’s Clinical Fellow Scheme and Chief Sustainability Officer’s Clinical Fellow Scheme.
Through these prestigious programmes, fellows undertake placements with leading national organisations including NHS England, government departments, universities, the private sector, charities, integrated care boards, regulators and other national healthcare bodies. Our host organisations have included organisations such as the, Care Quality Commission, General Medical Council, Deloitte and a range of NHS trusts and integrated care systems. These placements give fellows first-hand experience of leadership, policy development and system-level decision-making, while enabling host organisations to benefit from the skills, expertise and fresh perspectives that fellows bring.
