Does Fellowship help female leaders?

Join us for an interactive webinar on Wednesday 15th March from 1pm to 2pm to speak with established female healthcare leaders on what FMLM Fellowship means to them and their career, and discuss the challenges of leadership careers for women.

Gender equality in leadership is important all year, but is drawn into sharper focus around International Women’s Day.

FMLM’s role is to support our members to become better medical leaders, and one way we do that is through standards and accreditation.

The award of Fellowship of FMLM is an essential step for clinical leaders that acknowledges their contribution to and impact in healthcare.

Yet we have questions about why we have a gender gap in leaders applying for Fellowship*

The FMLM Fellowship Award is a badge of leadership excellence and so a strong recommendation when applying for senior medical roles.

We want to ensure that women have equity of opportunity for roles now and in the future.

FMLM has set up a dedicated working group and has carried out some research to support women in healthcare leadership roles.

We are holding a specific dialogue on this issue and would welcome your voice: Please sign up to take part in the conversation.

*Fellows are leaders who continuously demonstrate a high-level of leadership; the term is different from our Clinical Fellows Scheme which is for emerging leaders to develop skills.
