Conversations and Connections at BMJ Leader Live

BMJ Leader Live last week was a chance for FMLM to connect with Members and Fellows face to face as much as being able to hear about latest research and discussions for developing leaders in health and care. 

Thank you to everyone who came to speak with us – our Membership Secretary Nick Murray and Senior Programme Manager Daniel Kavanagh had a full day of speaking with Members and Fellows, joined in the afternoon by Head of Professional Services and Innovation Angus Waite. 

The conversations were wide-ranging, with enquiries about how to become a Fellow and also some queries about how to join FMLM’s upcoming Clinical Fellows Schemes. 

There was also considerable interest in FMLM’s mentoring scheme, from potential mentors as well as potential mentees. What we find is that people looking for mentors are usually looking for people who are just one step ahead of them rather extremely developed in their own careers, as the insights shared often have more immediate resonance and have contemporary solutions.
