Lilly lecture 2016 - Take me to your leader

Baroness Julia Cumberlege CBE DL, House of Lords and a Fellow of five medical royal colleges delivered this year’s Lilly lecture, Take me to your leader. Baroness Cumberlege discussed her background as the child of a doctor who believed in ‘doctors orders’ and became one of the first GPs in the newly-born NHS, alongside her conviction of the need to reinvent general practice and the ability of superb leadership to shine through.

The annual Lilly lecture was established by Eli Lilly & Company with the Royal College of Physicians in 1966 and since 2011 has focused on medical leadership to support the work of FMLM.
