About me

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist who had been in medical management since 2005 and first became interested in coaching in 2008. I have since gone on to undertake coach training to certificate and subsequently professional diploma level. I am also an accredited mediator and have an MBA with a special interest in the employee ‘psychological contract’.

I bring an eclectic but research informed approach to my coaching endeavours predicated on encouraging authenticity and increased emotional intelligence in coachees. Over the years I have developed a philosophy of coaching grounded on facilitating coachee progress towards defining a clear purpose, embodying the right values and principles, deploying the appropriate tactics in pursuit of goals, testing their assumptions in context and reviewing/refining things as required.

I am a member of the Association for Coaching and abide by their ethical code. I approach coaching with a ‘mutual benefit’ proposition at the heart of my practice. I am a flexible open-minded and curious coach with an interest in working with across a wide variety of coachee contexts in comfortable with dealing with diversity and intercultural issues.

Also very helpful view of circle of colleagues round me which helped me focus thinking on how to develop and support these people.Medical Director NHS Trust

"I’ve come away from the first session with a clearer sense of purpose and a feeling of being galvanized to get on and ‘do’. I am very happy with the coaching relationship thus far.Communications Manager
