How can I get involved in FMLM?
Membership of FMLM
FMLM supports its members to develop their leadership and management skills. Student membership is available for £14 a year and provides the following range of benefits:
- Access to the FMLM mentoring platform, where you can engage with senior NHS leaders across a variety of specialties
- Discounts to attend national and regional events
- Access to the annual FMLM medical student leadership scheme, where you can spend time at leading healthcare organisations
- Complimentary subscription to our journal, BMJ Leader
- Opportunities to publish opinion pieces, blogs, or research work through our digital channels.
FMLM student membership also allows you to get involved with projects led by the FMLM Medical Student Group.
The Medical Student Group (MSG)
The FMLM MSG plays a crucial role in representing the interests of our student members, developing and leading their own projects to support FMLM in achieving its aims. Made up of regional representatives and three workstream leads, the group - currently chaired by Oliver Devine - meets quarterly and works closely with our FMLM student member reps within each medical school.
Vacancies for positions on the MSG, or for our medical school reps, are open exclusively to FMLM student members and present the ideal opportunity to get involved with FMLM and demonstrate your own commitment to medical leadership.
