Dr Cathy Jack has just recently been appointed Chief Executive of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (August 2014). Dr Jack had previously been the Deputy Medical Director from 2008.
Dr Jack graduated in medicine from Queen’s University in Belfast in 1987. She completed her early training posts in Belfast City Hospital. Dr Jack moved to England to take up a post in Royal Liverpool University Hospital as a lecturer in Geriatric Medicine before becoming a Consultant Geriatrician and later as clinical Sub-Dean.
In 2004 Dr Jack returned to NI to take up a post in the Royal Victoria Hospital as a Consultant Geriatrician and remained in this post until being appointed as Medical Director.
