This programme has been designed to empower and invigorate early and mid-career medical leaders to make and implement key career decisions to inform the next chapter in their working lives.
Objectives:
- To establish a safe, confidential, fun and creative, structured learning group for up to 6 participants
- To create a clear and compelling vision for the future for each participant based on each individual's career and life needs
- To review your medical career options
- To make and implement career-related decisions, enabling participants to move forward with confidence and renewed energy
- To understand participants’ longer term needs and signpost to resources and interventions
- To use evidence-based coaching psychology to underpin the process.
Who is this course suitable for?
Medical leaders who are not yet working at Board level or equivalent roles, or who are new to working at Board level. Such as deputy/associate medical directors, clinical directors, primary care leaders, medical academic leaders. Applicants who identify as female and those from under-represented ethnic groups are encouraged to join the course, every effort will be made to ensure a diverse group for the benefit of all participants.
Course outline:
- Held online on Zoom over an eight week period
- Small groups of six
- Time commitment of approximately two hours for self directed tasks required between sessions
- Introduction held on Zoom prior to course starting.
