Communication: different styles, presentation and listening skills

How we communicate has a direct impact on how we influence others, positively or negatively. Our approach is often habitual and based on how we have always done things - but might not be getting us the results we want. In this workshop Alexis Hutson (Coaching Doctors) will enable you to reflect on your communication style, how you present information and how active your listening skills are.  By using your developmental areas, the group will explore what is and isn’t working for them and plan for new approaches.

This essential skills course will:

  • Raise awareness of communication styles and the impact they have
  • Explore your approach to presenting information
  • Develop your active listening skills
  • Reflect on and plan for implementing new approaches

Part of the 'Essential skills' courses - a new series of personal and career development courses hosted by FMLM. These half-day taster sessions are designed to give an insight into a particular personal development area and time to reflect on your practice.
