Crafting sustainable medical careers symposium
This free networking event gives participants the opportunity to gain practical insights into current medical career crafting and leadership development. It is organised by the Global Business School for Health, UCL; AIIMS, Delhi; and the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management which promotes excellence in leadership on behalf of all doctors in the UK. In the context of quiet quitting and burnout in health and other organisations, we spotlight interesting examples of crafting flourishing jobs and careers to support professional development and personal well-being, as well as medical research leadership. We will also discuss the benefits of women’s and future leaders’ programmes, working less than full time (LTFT) options, and MD/MBA trajectories.
Participants will be able to:
- Network with peers and experts on health workforce and medical leadership development.
- Appreciate the benefits and challenges of career and job crafting and medical leadership development.
- Understand how others have developed sustainable careers in the health sector.
