Ms Jeanette Hogan

Deputy Chief Nurse, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

The majority of my career has been as a community nurse, initially as a District Nurse, then as a TVN and then into different quality and leadership roles. Geographically I have always worked in the Northwest. Mostly in Liverpool andthen latterly to Wigan and now currently based in Warrington and Halton. Clinical Interest are anything and everything that improves care for community patients! I have undertaken significant amount of quality improvement work related to patient safety, improving and embedding systems to learn from incidents as well as reducing harm related topressure ulcers. I am also a passionate advocate for patient centred care and empowerment. More recently I have been involved in developing systems and strategies to improve recruitment and retention and workforce planning.

“I am proud and excited to be a CNO Senior Clinical Nurse Fellow with a focus on Community Nursing and the National Community Nursing Plan as an opportunity to be a part of and influence the future developments for community nursing.  I have had the opportunity to lead on community nursing workforce programmes such as the implementation of the Community Nursing Safer Staffing Tool, and the facilitate this years Shared Professional Decision-Making Council: Community Nursing.  With the developments of ICS’s it’s a crucial time to raise the profile and voice of community nurses; what we can offer to improve the delivery of care for our patients.  The Fellowship provides support for my leadership development and access to a network of fantastic individuals who all share the same passion for improving patient care."
