Dr Josh Wall

Josh completed his undergraduate medical degree and a BSc in Physiological Science at the University of Bristol, graduating in 2014. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and a senior anaesthetic registrar within the London School of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. His clinical interests include anaesthesia for major surgery, regional anaesthesia and management of the difficult airway.

From a clinical governance perspective, Josh is passionate about improving patient safety. Through his work, he has led numerous local projects, many of which have been presented nationally or published. Josh is also enthusiastic about teaching and has previously organised regional exam courses to help trainees with their examinations.

Josh is the joint pan-London Trainee Representative, representing all London anaesthetic trainees to the Head of School. Nationally, he represents anaesthetic trainees to the Royal College of Anaesthetists as a member of the Anaesthetists in Training Representative Group.

Reason for applying for the scheme

Josh is committed to pursuing a career which incorporates medical leadership. He sees this fellowship as an opportunity to learn and fortify new leadership skills in order to make meaningful improvement to healthcare now and in the future. Josh is excited to collaborate with likeminded individuals and to learn from the most senior NHS leaders about healthcare policy, clinical improvement, stakeholder engagement and project management.
