An invitation to DAPS Global Summit 2015

DAPS Global would like to invite all doctors in training, junior healthcare professionals and students to participate in the forthcoming DAPS Global Summit to take place at the Trent Vineyard Conference Centre in Nottingham on 13-14 November.
The summit is a unique opportunity for junior healthcare professionals and students from across the United Kingdom and abroad to present audit and quality improvement work to other junior healthcare professionals as poster and oral presentations.
This is our second summit, after a fantastic inaugural event last year, which welcomed 150 junior healthcare professionals and inspirational speakers, including: Dr Umesh Prahbu, Medical Director of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh FT; Dr Claire Lemer, Consultant in Paediatrics and Service Transformation at Guys & St Thomas' NHS Trust; and Dr Damian Roland, Consultant at the University of Leicester NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer for the University of Leicester SAPPHIRE group.
The keynotes were supplemented by workshops on mental health, global health and quality improvement. The feedback from the DAPS Global Summit 2014 wasexcellent, with 92% of attendees stating they would like to attend the summit again and 97% of attendees declaring they would recommend it to a friend. Our hope is that the DAPS Global Summit 2015 will be just as inspiring and motivating for all those who attend this year’s event as it clearly was for last year’s delegates.
As part of the summit, we will run our Annual DAPS Global Awards on Saturday evening, 14 November, at the Hilton Hotel, Nottingham. The awards were designed to recognise the significant contribution that junior healthcare professionals make in improving healthcare. All participants who submit abstracts for the summit will be considered for one of the nine coveted DAPS Global Awards categories.
