Mr Nick Aresti

Nick is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Barts Health NHS Trust, where he specialises in upper limb surgery. He trained in London and undertook a clinical fellowship at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

Nick has previously worked as a Clinical Fellow to the National Medical Director, during which time he was placed at the Care Quality Commission (CQC) under the guidance of Professor Sir Mike Richards.  Nick built on this management and leadership experience and now sits on various national and regional committees including the British Orthopaedic Association’s Orthopaedic committee. He continues to be involved in various streams of work with NHS England and is the governance lead at the Barts Health Orthopaedic Centre.

Nick has written three surgical textbooks, numerous book chapters and has published research in international peer-reviewed journals. He continues to pursue an academic career and is involved in various national and regional research projects. His contribution to teaching has led to the award of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
