Oliver is an MBPhD student at University College London where he combines his undergraduate clinical training with a PhD exploring the basic biology of human ageing. He recently served 3 years as Chair of the Medical Student Investigators Collaborative, a group of over 150 medical students who during his tenure, worked to improve undergraduate medical training through large cross-institution education research projects. The outcome of much of this work has been published and continues to inform the policies governing assessment and teaching at medical schools in the UK. Outside of his academic commitments, he is an enthusiastic advocate for widening participation in medicine and has delivered one-to-one mentoring for the Social Mobility Foundation for the past five years.
