College President transition guide

Few become president of a royal college without having actively participated in that organisation, but the transition to being the leader of the college is stark.

Most will have led units, departments or societies but leading a large and complex organisation with no-one at all above you is new to most incoming Presidents and some have found it difficult and lonely.

To help new presidents enjoy their tenure and achieve as much as possible during their term, we have surveyed current presidents of UK royal colleges about their 'top tips' of things they wish they had known when they took office.
