What is The Cumberland Initiative?

The Cumberland Initiative is a movement to encourage simulation and modelling of healthcare scenarios to deliver improved quality of care.

This innovative systems thinking offers a strategic approach to designing care and is a high level means of improving all healthcare operations.

By applying better processes and systems through modelling and simulation, quality of care will be transformed to produce superior outcomes at huge cost savings. It is increasingly recognised as crucial in the armamentarium of healthcare leaders and is prominent in the FMLM Leadership and Management Standards for Medical Professionals
