Dr Raykal Sim

Dr Raykal Sim is a passionate and dedicated doctor who is committed to improving the lives of patients and trainees. She is currently a GP trainee in Yorkshire and Humber, and she is also the Vice Chair of the Yorkshire and Humber Trainee Forum. In this role, she has worked closely with GP training programme directors to co-produce a pilot of trainee-led mentoring programme for a regional scheme comprising over 100 trainees. 

Dr Sim is a strong advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion in the medical profession. Dr Sim is particularly interested in improving support for international medical graduates. As part of her fellowship with the Future Leaders Programme, she worked with the SuppoRTT team to deliver projects to improve the support of new IMG doctors in the region including a podcast series, a virtual networking programme and led the development of a web-based form to guide the first conversations between IMG trainees and their trainers.
