Last month, we looked at leadership frameworks and personal development by considering three main initiatives:

1. NHS Leadership Framework 

2. Healthcare Leadership Model

3. FMLM Leadership and Management Standards for Medical Professionals

Since then, on 1 December 2016, an important new framework called 'Developing People - Improving Care' has been published by NHS Improvement (specifically the National Improvement and Leadership Development Board) and sponsored by key national organisations with NHS responsibilities. So this time we will bring ourselves right up-to-date by examining this latest framework and look at what it is, how it relates to the leadership frameworks we examined last time, and what impact it could have on medical leaders and their teams.
