Reason for applying for the scheme

Sarah applied for the scheme because she is concerned about the impact of the climate crisis on human, as well as planetary, health. As an allied health professional (AHP), she recognises the role that AHPs play in sustainable models of healthcare. In her current role, Sarah has been encouraging, and supporting, colleagues to use the Centre for Sustainable Healthcare's SusQI model. The fellowship provides the opportunity to take the next steps in working towards sustainable heathcare. Through the fellowship, Sarah hopes to develop her leadership skills further, enabling her to advocate for change in policy and take action, at this time of climate emergency. Sarah feels passionate about the NHS pledge to reach net zero by 2040 and is looking forward to working with the Greener NHS team.
