As the National Programme Lead, Shabina is leading the development of responsive solutions that utilise a multi-professional approach to improve access and capacity to supervision across healthcare systems. This national programme of work focuses on system leadership and supporting the development of a supervisor workforce capable of managing learner and healthcare professional needs, now and in the future. Another focus of the programme includes driving leadership across all system levels including Integrated Care Systems, Primary Care Networks and Training Hubs across England.
Shabina has a background in community pharmacy, academia, policy, private healthcare, and civil service. Most notably she was one of the Chief Pharmaceutical Officer’s Clinical Fellows (2018-19) based in Bupa, leading on raising the profile of the pharmacy profession across the business in addition to feeding into national workstreams within NHS England and Arm’s Length Bodies before joining Health Education England.
