How to create great surveys

Colleagues from various background as disciplines are often tempted to conduct a survey or administer a questionnaire, usually to answer a particular question or table a problem issues and typically in a short timescale.

Developing questionnaires can appear deceptively easy and straightforward- the products of such an approach often described as "back of envelope jobs". However, there are many pitfalls which centre around the concepts of reliability and validity.

These are two key concepts and there are various steps in the development process that can help to avoid the worst outcomes where despite effort the results obtained can be almost meaningless. After a brief presentation of some key aspects and principles the webinar became interactive, enabling participants to raise issues related to current or future survey plans.
