FMLM QI Lead Dr Nikita Kanani and our colleagues from the Royal College of Physicians, Dr Stephen Webb and Dr Sam Alimam discussed why quality improvement is a core skill for doctors, and learned top tips about QI.

Learning to make a difference (LTMD) - the start of something big? The RCP LTMD programme is empowering Core Medical Trainees to get involved in small-scale, local, multidisciplinary QI projects backed up by a comprehensive support team at the RCP and a network of QI Champions across the country. Top tips were shared for making QI projects work, including what makes a project succeed and fail. Learning was shared on how the LTMD team are getting involved with other Royal Colleges developing their own QI programmes. Sam Aliman brought her own experience on the highs and lows of being QI enthusiast.
